PhD Event

As the world’s leading advisor on business strategy, BCG partners with the best companies in all sectors and regions. We seek outstanding PhD candidates who have made it to the top of diverse fields. Your intellectual curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills are highly valued at BCG and you will be given unlimited opportunities to continuously expand your knowledge and advance your career.

A true consulting experience

Should I pursue a career in science? What are my career opportunities outside research after my PhD graduation? What is it like to transfer from the academic world? For many of you, these are relevant questions. Most PhD students are unfamiliar with Strategy Consulting. The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) therefore organizes a workshop on Wednesday September 24th from 13.30, allowing PhD students to get an inside view of Strategy Consulting.

During this workshop we will provide you with answers to the following questions:

°   What does a Strategy Consultant do?

°   What is it like to start a career at BCG with a PhD background?

°   What is the added value of a PhD graduate for BCG?

Experience strategy consulting at its best: work in teams to tackle key strategic questions and provide practical, effective solutions for a real client case. You will be coached on consulting skills and tools by an experienced BCG consultant and get a flavor of the broad range of day-to-day activities in our job. Throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions. At the end of the day, you can get to know other PhD BCG consultants and find out what BCG can offer you during an informal dinner.

Application

We challenge you to sign up for this unforgettable experience by uploading your application through our website. Register by submitting a resume no later than September 19, 2014. You must have a firm grasp of the Dutch language to apply. For more information, please contact Anna van Zuuren.
